What's in It
The Monster Biscuit stacks bacon, a sausage patty, sliced ham and an egg on one of Hardee's scratch biscuits. Two slices of American cheese hold it together.
It costs $5.19 on its own, the most of any single biscuit sandwich except the Double Biscuit 'N' Gravy.
Taste and Size
The biscuit is the part that has to work hardest here. It stays flaky on the outside and doesn't turn soggy under the egg and cheese.
Bacon and sausage carry most of the flavor. The ham mainly adds salt.
This is a sit-down breakfast. It's hard to eat one-handed in a car, and it's more food than most people need from a single sandwich.
Is It Good Value?
The combo with Hash Rounds and a drink costs $7.19, which is $2.00 more than the sandwich.
A Bacon, Egg & Cheese Biscuit costs $4.29. For $0.90 more, the Monster adds sausage, ham and a second slice of cheese.
If you want a lot of protein from one biscuit, that's a fair trade.
