Where to Buy a Hardee's Gift Card

Online. Hardee's sells gift cards through its official gift card site, run by Buyatab. You can reach it from the "Gift Cards" menu on hardees.com.

At stores. Some retailers sell a combined Hardee's and Carl's Jr. card. Staples, for example, lists it in $25, $50 and $100 amounts.

At a Hardee's. Some restaurants may sell cards at the counter. Ask your local store before you go.

How to Check Your Balance

1. Open the "Check Balance" page on Hardee's gift card site.
2. Enter the card number and PIN from the back of the card.
3. Your balance shows on the next screen.

Only use the official site. Third-party "balance checker" sites can steal your card number.

Reloading a Card

Digital gift cards can be reloaded on the "Reload Gift Card" page of the same Buyatab site. Enter the card number, PIN and the amount to add.

For physical cards, ask at your local Hardee's whether they can add money at the register.

Where You Can Use It

• Yes: at participating Hardee's restaurants.
• No: on third-party delivery apps like DoorDash or Uber Eats. Hardee's says gift cards can't be used on those orders.
• Carl's Jr.: combined Hardee's and Carl's Jr. cards exist. The back of your card says where it works.

Lost, Inactive or Expired Cards

Expiration. Hardee's says its gift cards don't expire. Promotional bonus cards are different, and the end date is printed on them.

Federal law also protects you. Under the CARD Act, store gift card money can't expire within five years of when the card was bought or last loaded. The FDIC explains the rules here.

Lost or stolen. Hardee's asks you to contact Guest Relations. Keep your receipt or card number handy.

Card not working. If a card shows as inactive, Hardee's says to contact SVS, the card processor, using the details on the back of the card.
