Hardee's Monster Burger

The Monster Burger is the heaviest burger on the Hardee's menu. It has two quarter-pound Angus patties, four strips of bacon and three slices of American cheese.

The only sauce is mayo, and it comes on a brioche-style bun. There's no lettuce, tomato or onion.

The Monster Burger costs $7.99, the same as the Double Bacon Cheeseburger and the Double Frisco.

The Double Bacon Cheeseburger has fresh toppings instead of the extra bacon and cheese. The Monster is the choice if you only care about meat and cheese.

The Monster Burger Combo costs $10.29. Its $2.30 add-on for fries and a drink is the smallest of any burger combo.

Per Hardee's nutrition guide, the Monster Burger has 1,010 calories, 73g of fat and 63g of protein.

Saturated fat is 28g, well above the FDA Daily Value of 20g. Sodium is 2,140mg, close to the 2,300mg daily limit in U.S. dietary guidelines.

It has the most protein of any burger on the menu. With a combo, the meal can pass 2,000 calories.

This is a burger to share or to eat as your only big meal of the day.

Ask if your store can add lettuce and tomato for some freshness.
